YICC is an event to connect academic brilliance to real life Industrial problem – a platform to put individual’s imagination at work; a challenge to innovate and find solutions.

YRC provides the platform for the Research student to put their innovative ideas in the form of oral & poster presentations followed by thorough discussion.

The Institute of Chemical Technology, (ICT, formerly UDCT) was established on October 1, 1933 by an explicit desire and money of industrialist and philanthropists, to cater the requirement of chemical industry.    

 

ICT is Asia's premier Chemical Engineering and Technology research institute. It has an unparallel record of more than 77 years of excellence in teaching, research, and interaction in every possible with industry.

 

In fact it has pioneer in setting up of many chemical industries. In performance, ICT surpass all IIT’s. ICT is number 1 in INDIA on the basis of its contribution to the development of industries.

 

Research has been an integral part of the ICT right from the inception and for past several years we have been producing more than 60 Ph.D.s per year, it is the highest in the country. The number of research publications per faculty member is also highest in the country.

On September 12^th, 2008 ICT was granted a Deemed University status by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. ICT has strong and symbiotic relationship with industries for decades and hence has realized the relevant issues in details. With the deemed university status, ICT will become the vibrant centre of excellence, catalyzing the economic growth of the country.

AICTE recognized ICT as best postgraduate centre in the country.
