Our library is a treasure house of a plethora of important books. In the fields of Chemical Technology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Computers, etc. including many valuable out-of-print books that are referred to very regularly. Several handbooks, encyclopedias, reference books and abstracts are available in the library. We subscribe to most leading journals related to the research activity of the Department.
UICT library is located in the heart of Mumbai city -attracting a variety of readers, students, scholars, industrialists, teachers . The library has a specialized collection in the field of chemistry / chemical technology / chemical engineering and possesses some of the rare reports like BIOS ,CIOS, FIAT. The Encyclopedia like Kirk-Othmer, Ullmann, McKetta, Dictionary of organic compounds, Merck Index,Beilsteins Handbuch Der Organischen chemie , chemical abstracts with collective indexes, U.S. & British Pharmacopoeias form the backbone of this library. UICT library has some of the major ACS symposium series, AIChE symposium series, monograph series, & core journals like JACS, JCS, JSDC. Books in biotechnology like Rehm & Reed, Encyclopedias of Biopocess Engineering are updated with assistance from DBT & donors from industries.

The UICT Library has MOU with BONET for participating in exchange program devised by MISSAT, DST, New Delhi.
The library area
is 1,020 sq.m.. We have always been receiving books and journals as gifts from many well
wishers and industries. A large number of readership of library comes from industry.
One of the outstanding attributes of the UICT library is the availability of sustaining funds as a result of the creation of special endowments for library and partly through other memorial trusts.
