Awards,
Honours and Scholarships
To keep up with the MUICT tradition, this year too, MUICT
have been bestowed with many awards and honours. Federation of Indian Chambers
of Commerce and Industry awarded MUICT with the prestigious FICCI Award
in recognition of Institutional Initiative in Research in Science and
Technology. This year, Padmavibhushan Prof.M.M.Sharma former Director
MUICT received the Life Time Achievement award by the Indian National Academy
of Engineering.
Last year, the Indian National Academy of
Engineering has introduced in the year 2000, the Best Ph.D. and Masters
thesis National awards for the innovative projects encompassing all the
branches of engineering and Technology.
UDCT had received both the awards in the year of inception itself. And, this year too MUICT has done it
again. The best innovative Ph.D.
project award has been received by Dr. (Mrs.) Nisharani Adhage and the
innovative Masters Project award has been received by Shri Amol Kulkarni.
The lush green gardens of MUICT are a matter of
pride to every MUICTian especially to the MUICT gardeners. It is an
unbelievable scene in the highly populated city of Mumbai. MUICT have bagged
several prizes at the city level. To keep up the tradition this year too MUICT
have bagged several prizes. This year MUICT has bagged six prizes at the 43rd
Annual Vegetable, Fruit, and Flower Show-2002 organized by National Society of
the Friends of Trees. The prizes are as follows:
