This year, the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, has started recognizing the "Centres of Excellence" by providing major funding, under FIST programme for building modern research facilities. In the first year itself the Chemical Engineering and the Food and Fermentation Technology Divisions have been given this recognition with a record funding of rupees sixteen and half million. We are thankful to them for the support.

Division of Technology of Intermediates and Dyes

The Dyestuff division expresses it`s sincere gratitude and acknowledgements to all those individual donors, industries, government agencies, patrons, well wishers and its alumni who have helped the division in many respects, and without these valuable contributions this division could not have achieved this progress. Division of Technology of Fibres and Textile Processing

  • India-ITME Society, for allotting space free of charge for the UDCT-Textile Division Stall at India-ITME 2000, the 6th International Textile Machinery Exhibition, held from 1st December 2000 to 10th December 2000 at NSE Complex, Goregaon, Mumbai.
    • Mr. Ashok Vasandani, Vice President, Ashima Group, for conducting Public Speaking Course for the students of the Division.
    • Rossari Biotech India Pvt. Ltd. for donating an amount of Rs. 2 Lakhs to the Textile Division Development Fund (TDDF).
    • L.N. Chemicals for donating an amount of Rs. 2 Lakhs to the Textile Division Development Fund (TDDF).
  • K. V. Khemani Trust for offering annually Rs. 30,000/-, in memory of Mrs. Asha Khemani, towards Best Student Award for Undergraduate as well as Postgraduate Students and a water cooler for the use of Students of the Division.

Food and Fermentation Technology Division

The Division gratefully acknowledges the grant of Rs.25.00 lakhs under FIST Programme of Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, Ministry of Science & Technology, New Delhi.

Oils, Surfactants and Oleochemicals Division

Drmaceutical Science and Technology Division

The faculty members and the students of the Pharmaceutical Division in UDCT sincerely thank all the sponsors of research projects (Government and Industry) for their generous financial assistance. University Grant Commission, New Delhi, is particularly thanked for their award of DSA and COSIST recognition to ourdivision and for the support to develop infrastructure facilities for research in various disciplines. We thank several industries for providing in-plant training in their laboratories for our B.Sc.(Tech) and B.Pharm. students.
