UGC-Networking Resource Centre has been established at the Department of Chemical Engineering of Institute of Chemical Technology, Matunga, Mumbai-400019. The main purpose of this UGC funded centre is collaborative research and training for faculty, scientists and research students of other universities, colleges and institutions, with a State-of-Art Instrumental Facilities for high end research in Chemical Engineering.
 
The responsibilities of the Networking Centre includes, training in frontier areas of research to faculty and research students, conducting summer/winter schools for entry level faculty and research students, enabling joint research projects, and promotion of other science mentoring activities.

1. Research, training and skills development of the faculty and research scholars through periodic discussion, workshop and summer/winter schools
2. Capacity building by adopting faculty and departments for augmenting their research skills and to mentor them
3. Hosting and facilitating researcher from other institutes/universities to carry out key experiments
4. Augmentation of information resource facility of the department to provide quality research information to other institutes/researchers
5. To enhance and build state of the art in-house research infrastructure and other research facilities in the department
